My name is Simon, I’m in my fifties (just!) and have decided to take time away from the rat race. For a while, instead of chasing the dollar I’m going to spend more time travelling the world and experiencing the wonderful things it has to offer. I've been lucky in being able to travel on business to many fantastic places around the world, but regret not having spent more time getting to know, feel, smell, see and taste the countries I visited. Now is my time to fix that and I intend to make the most of it. I've started a travel blog to record my travels, but also to capture some of my more memorable trips I've already been on. I also love cooking and especially international cuisine, so I also include some interesting recipes on my site.
