Visiting Newcastle

Newcastle. What did I know before going? Honestly, I thought it was a great place for a good night out and most famous for Geordie Shore and Ant and Dec. I however hadn't thought about the culture and history of the city but it is simply an amazing place to visit.

Not sure where to go? Why not take a look around Quayside, Bigg Market or the castle? Whilst wandering around the city take a look at some of the architecture, the buildings are simply gorgeous! You can easily spend a day getting lost in the beauty of the city. Also everyone we met was super friendly and always seemed happy to help.

However, if you want a good night out after your day in the city, I would highly recommend Cosy Joe's! A karaoke bar with friendly staff and personally my favourite New Year's Eve ever. We spent the night dancing to classic/old school music and had an amazing night.

Personally, Newcastle was a perfect weekend away and is somewhere I always recommend! If you do venture to Newcastle, I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I loved my stay. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Newcastle we stayed at Royal Station Hotel- Part of the Cairn Collection. The hotel was perfect for our stay and the Christmas tree reminded me of the film Home Alone!
