MOUNT MERU TREKING

Meru are Hiking and trekking with multiple stages leading up to the summit, Wildlife Viewing, Cultural Experience, Photography, Scenic Views and Summit Push :The final push to the summit is challenging but rewarding, reaching the top of Mt. Meru offers stunning panoramic views, including views of Mt. Kilimanjaro on clear days.

Day 1: Arrive in Tanzania
You’ll be picked up from the airport by our professional guide to the hotel where you will have a rest and relax preparing for the coming rout, our guide will brief you about the safari and check your trekking gear if any missing can be hired . (Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost).

DAY 2: Arusha – Momela Gate Miriakamba Huts.
After breakfast the journey will start from the Hotel to Momela gate. Here we will have sometimes while our guides doing registrations and you will be given given an armed park ranger for escort since you are passing in the National park, the journey will start by walking and passing through the Arusha National Park while exploring wildlife from very closer. along the way you will see a beautiful view of Mt Kilimanjaro and lake Momela. the journey will go up to Miriakamba where you will have a night there.

Day: 3 Miriakamba Hut – Saddle Huts
The journey will start at 0800hrs after the breakfast, the climb will start to second hut called saddle Hut. This is too steep part compared to the first part. Amazing views of the Meru crater, Ash cone and little Meru can be seen along the way. During the afternoon, you will attempt climbing little Meru peak (3810m) and back just for relaxation and acclimatization before it gets dark and night and of course for evening sun set view.

Day 4: Saddle Hut – Mount Meru Summit and Descend to Saddle Hut
Wake up at middle - night and have a cup of tea before starting attempt big Meru peak summit. Proceed to summit crossing rocky path where we will have a little celebration while at the peak celebration summit success, Having pictures while experiencing that fantastic scenery views of Arusha National Parks forest escarpments and Arusha city from far above, and during sunrise there is a possibility of seeing Kilimanjaro peak above the clouds plus that beautiful view of the sun rise and all after all the crew will start descending back to Saddle Hut for full breakfast. The day will be spent resting. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Saddle hut.

Day 5: Saddle Hut – Momela Gate - Depurture.
Leave Saddle hut and descend down to Momela gate via first hut (Miriakamba) where you will be transferred to the Airport for Departure / Hotel prepared (Accommodation after the tour can be arranged for an extra cost).

Note: Unlike Kilimanjaro when you are climbing the Mount Meru you have to be escorted by an armed ranger as you pass through the Arusha National Park. It is at this time when you will enjoy the walking safari as you pass the groups/herds of African buffaloes, Elephants, zebras, Black and white colubus monkey, Giraffes, Antelopes, Hyenas just little wildlife to mention.The Momela and Ngurdoto lakes are rich in birdlife as you trek to the mountain; birds like pelicans and Flamingo are closely seen too.
