Explore the outer coast of Pohatu Marine Reserve and marvel at its spectacular towering cliffs, rock stacks, reefs, and deep sea caves. Observe the diverse wildlife and marine species such as penguins, seals, various sea birds and possibly the world’s smallest dolphin!

Trips depart from our office in Akaroa, you will enjoy a stunning scenic drive over the crater rim of Akaroa long extinct volcano.
Once arrived at Pohatu bay your guide will equipped you and you will enjoy a gentle paddle along the coastline of marine reserve searching for New Zealand fur seals, penguins, many other species of sea-birds and discover the volcanic creation of Banks peninsula and in settled conditions explore deep sea-caves.

No experience necessary! Trips are only run in settled, safe conditions by experienced and knowledgeable guides. Your safety is our top priority.
