DAY 1
Today we will depart shortly after breakfast to Volta Region, En route, we will visit Cedi Beads, where glass bottles are recycled into beads. We will visit Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary to play and feed the Mona monkeys. We will also learn about the community and how eco-tourism has contributed to the development of this village. We will check-in to our Guesthouse before dark and have a rest and relaxation there.
DAY 2
Today we will hike the highest mountain ‘Afadjato’ (885m above sea level) in the morning which will take about 3 hours maximum. After the hike we will head out to Wli Waterfalls, West Africa's highest waterfalls. We will spend the rest of the day refreshing in the water fall. In the evening we will chill out at our Guesthouse.
DAY 3
We will depart Volta Region shortly after breakfast. We will visit Akosombo Dam, The biggest hydroelectric dam in Ghana located on the amazing Lake Volta that produces over 1,020MW of electrical output. We will have lunch on the lake and go on a Boat Cruise on the world’s largest man-made lake to the side view of Ghana’s hydro-electric Dam. We will depart Akosombo shortly after the boat cruise and head into Kumasi, One of the largest cities in Ghana. We will locate our Guesthouse and check in for the night.
DAY 4
Today we will depart from our Guesthouse have breakfast and depart to Bonwire Kente Village, Bonwire is popular for Kente weaving. Kente is a colorful Ghanaian traditional fabric which is worn mostly on important occasions and celebrations.
A lot of the kente cloth that we see in Ghanaian markets actually comes from Bonwire. We will drive back to Kumasi and visit the historical Manhyia Palace, the seat of the Asantehene of Asanteman, as well as his official residence. We will then visit the Cultural Centre, the Sword Monument of Okomfo Anokye and discover the world of modern art in a clean and comfortable museum setting. Kejatia Market market is our next destination, West Africa's busiest and largest open air markets. You will get the chance to talk with the women traders at the market and shop for cloth and local items; here you will have the opportunity to use your bargaining skills. We will arrive in time before dark and have a cool relaxation at our Guesthouse. In the evening we will go and experience night life in Kumasi.
DAY 5
We will check out from our Guesthouse have breakfast and spend the entire day travelling to Tamale. We will stop along our journey to have lunch and set off stopping at Mole national park, Ghana's largest national park and the home of the biggest elephant in Africa. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Mole.
DAY 6
We will spend the entire day today exploring the national park and what Mole is got to offer. We will go on a morning walking safari. We stand the chance of seeing wildlife’s such as monkeys, elephants, warthogs, antelopes, deer’s, buffalo's and more. We will have breakfast on return and spend the afternoon at the pool side viewing elephants and warthogs from a distance. Later in the day we will visit the Larabanga Mosque, Ghana's renowed and oldest mosque. We will also learn how Shea Butter made. We will drive back before dark to our hotel.
DAY 7
We will set off early after breakfast and drive to Kumasi, En route we will visit Tamale Cultural Centre. We will proceed on journey and aim to arrive in Kumasi before dark. Dinner and overnight at Guesthouse in Kumasi.
DAY 8
We will proceed on the next leg of our journey. We will be in Accra today, we will drop you off at your hotel.
