Uganda, The pearl of Africa has 10 National Parks; 12 Wildlife reserves; 5 Community Wildlife Management Areas; and 13 Wildlife Sanctuaries. The ten National Parks include Queen Elizabeth, Lake Mburo, Murchison Falls, Kidepo Valley, Kibale, Mount Elgon, Rwenzori Mountains, Semuliki, Mgahinga Gorilla, and Bwindi Impenetrable National
Day 1: ARRIVAL IN ENTEBBE
You will be picked by our driver/guide who will transfer you to hotel for overnight stay. He will brief you about the tour and what time to pick you on day 2. The rest of the day you can relax ahead of the start of the tour, enjoy the beautiful pearl of africa.
Day 2: TO MURCHISON FALLS VIA ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY
After an early breakfast, you will set off for Murchison Falls National Park. Along Masindi road, you will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to visit the reintroduced white rhino. Here, you will enjoy lunch, then proceed to Murchison. Murchison Falls ranks among Africa's finest. Upon arrival in the late afternoon, you will conduct a short game drive.
Day 3: IN MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
The day will be spent on game drives. You will leave early in the morning and go on a game drive from 8 am to 12 pm. You will see several animals including lions, elephants, leopards and giraffes. In the afternoon (2 to 5 pm), you will go on an impressive launch trip on the Nile up to the falls. This gives you the chance to see hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants and many different bird species.
Day 4: IN MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Early morning the boat will take us downstream to the delta. The place where the Nile enters Lake Albert. This trip of 5-6 hours will show us all the beauty of this national park especially the delta with all the different birds. Here is a good chance to see the elusive shoebill stork. In the afternoon is a visit to the top of the falls, a wonderful view.
Day 5: TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
You will have an early morning game drive in Murchison Falls as you depart for Kibale Forest. You will pass close to Lake Albert. On a clear day, the view from the top of the Albert Rift is spectacular. In the afternoon, you will arrive at Kibale Forest, where you will fall asleep to the sounds of the tropical rainforest.
Day 6: CHIMP TREK, COMMUNITY AND SWAMP WALK
At 8 am, you will start the 4-hour chimp walk after a pre-briefing. In addition, 10 other primates can be seen. The park is also known for its variety of butterflies and birds. In the afternoon, you will take a walk through the Bigodi community and Swamp (physical fitness is encouraged).
Day 7: To QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
You will depart early for Queen Elizabeth National Park via Fort Portal. You'll reach Mweya Safari Lodge in Queen Elizabeth NP at midday, where you have a stunning view over the Kazinga Channel. In the late afternoon, you will go on a game drive to look for the Big Five animals.
Day 8: IN QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
This day is for a game drive on the plains of Queen Elizabeth. It is home to thousands of Ugandan kobs, lions, elephants, buffalos, hippos, tree-climbing lions, etc. Also on the program is a 2-hour launch trip on the Kazinga Channel, where we will see all the animals from the waterside.
Day 9: IN QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Our second day in this beautiful park, very early in the morning after breakfast we go to Kyambura Gorge. Here you can go for 3-4 hour walk in to the gorge for meeting the chimpanzees. After the gorge will drive to ishasha sector and have an afternoon game drive in search of the tree climbing lions.
Day 10: TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
In the morning, we leave for the south of Bwindi. For people who like to walk, the first 14km is a stunning, beautiful walk along the lakeshore and hills. We pass mountains, hills and lakes with cultivated terraces, tropical rainforests and bamboo forests.
Day 11: GORILLA TRACKING
This is the day for gorilla trekking. At 7:45 am, you will be at the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest office for a pre-briefing, and at 8:30 am, you will start the trek. After finding the gorillas, you will spend a maximum of 1 hour with them. All visitors are expected back at the starting point by 7 pm. Being physically fit is recommended.
Day 12; TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
You will leave early in the morning for Lake Mburo National Park. You will have lunch in the Igongo Cultural Centre in Mbarara before continuing on your trip. Lake Mburo National Park is a smaller but unique park, the only one in the western part of Uganda with impalas and zebras.
Day 13: IN LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
Early morning, we will go for a game walk. In the afternoon a boat trip on Lake Mburo followed by another game drive in the afternoon/early evening. This little park hosts a variety of mammal species, including large number of impalas (the antelope from which “kampala” is named after), zebras, Uganda kobs, duikers, bushbucks, ankole cattle topis, buffaloes, leopards, spotted hyenas, waterbucks, warthogs, oribi. There are 315 bird species including; shoebill stork, red faced barbet, crested crane, papyrus yellow warbler. The vegetation is mainly open savannah of acacia trees, Olea and Boscia. Lake Mburo is a natural haven for fauna and flora. Crocodiles and hippopotami are permanent residents, and buffaloes come to drink during the dry season. The wide variety of resident birds includes malachite kingfishers, pied kingfishers, African fish eagles, rufous long-tailed starlings, blue-headed weavers, green-necked doves, hammerkops, pelicans, herons, cormorants and even rare shoebills.
Day 14: TO ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Early morning the last part of the journey will bring us to Entebbe Airport. On the way back after Masaka there will be an opportunity to stop at the equator for photo shoots, buying souvenirs and have lunch. We will bring you directly to Entebbe airport.
