Bike & Wine Tour of the Maipo Valley

LAS MAJADAS DE PIRQUE

Meet your green T-shirted guide at the impressive 19th century mansion, Las Majadas de Pirque, located just outside Santiago’s city limits, making the bike ride peaceful but accessible at the same time. Upon arrival, you will be provided with bikes and helmets for a beautiful 1 to 1.5-hour ride through Maipo Valley. Along the way, you will see several vineyards from a hundred years ago, such as Concha y Toro, and more than 10 boutique wineries that make this valley so memorable.

MAKE YOUR WAY TO WILLIAM FEVRE

After the first hour of cycling our way alongside the 100 year old vines, we will stop to talk about the birth of the valley and the grapes, focusing also on this unique terrain. During the ride, you have the opportunity to photograph the impressive panoramic views of the mountains.
Your guide will provide a lot of information about the three factors that affect the sugar content of grapes: sunlight, humidity, and soil. Our tour promises not to indulge in wine snobbery! Here, we will focus on the development of the vineyards and the stories of the wine-makers that have made this region famous.

WILLIAM FEVRE VINEYARD

Our final destination is the William Fevre vineyard for the tasting of Chilean wine! Your guru will explain the wine-making process, as we walk through the modern production rooms, containing equipment used to make wine of all varieties. A super relaxing morning/afternoon will include 4 wine tastings of William’s Fevre famous wine. There will be an opportunity to visit the wine shop at the end of the tour to purchase some affordable vino to take home… or just to drink!

HEAD BACK TO THE CITY

After your tour is finished, ask our team for the best way to get back to the metro station. They will happily help you organize transportation back to the city center.

LOW SEASON: Monday-Friday at 2:00PM

Note: Saturday and Sunday are also available, but these tours will include only tasting since the vineyard bodegas are closed. PLEASE GET IN TOUCH if you want to reserve a Saturday or a Sunday.
