Visiting Montana

We arrived in Montana May, 2020 with the intent to explore and enjoy the adventures of this beautiful state. While we were exploring, we stayed in one of the most centrally located and reasonably priced RV parks close to Glacier National Park. Mountain Meadow RV Park located near Kalispell, Whitefish, Hungry Horse, and the West Entrance to Glacier National Park. This RV Park is very wooded and secluded, but you can see your neighbors at a distance. The surroundings were very serene and calm while enjoying the pond extremely near the front entrance of the park. We were able to have campfires, walk the dogs, relax with a glass of wine while enjoying Montana life during the Pandemic.

While there, we were able to enjoy a true BBQ dinner roasting our hotdogs, corn and enjoying some homemade potato salad. We enjoyed all of this with a beer from the Pacific Northwest before we were hit with a huge rainstorm. May is beautiful in this region, however, the temperatures are still hovering in the low 60's and will sometimes hit the low 70's on a good day. But remember the rain is what makes Montana so green.

We ventured out to Flathead Lake and enjoyed the view from some of the different towns that surround it. We did enjoy lunch from a cute restaurant on the water. It just so happened that this was a day where the weather was agreeing with us, and temperatures were amazingly comfortable.

We did venture into Whitefish, Montana for dinner and we walked around the adorable small town, we had lunch and enjoyed dinner at one of their Italian Restaurants,
Abruzzo Italian Kitchen. We enjoyed one of our favorite Chianti's - Colli Senesi with hand-made pizza and calamari.

We spent one day at Glacier National Park, please note with Covid the park was running on an extremely limited schedule and we were only allowed in certain areas, during certain times. My recommendation would be to plan ahead before making the trip. The Park was gorgeous, and the pictures do not do it justice.

If you choose to make this park part of your vacation adventures you will not be disappointed. There is so much to see, so much to do.
