Vacation is always an exciting time. People are counting the days until their trip will start, packing their stuff, studying maps, looking for useful information, buying some clothes and comfortable shoes. But before all these hassles, the very first question that arises is – in which area and hotel to stay?
My husband and I always carefully prepare for our trips. We like to plan, think over the details, collect all the necessary information and tips. We learn city map, best and most convenient way to get to hotel from airport, safe area to stay, what we want to see and do in our destination place, distance to all attractions, public transport, and of course hotel.
Usually, we spend lots of time for the preparation, but at the end our trips always go smoothly, with great pleasure and comfort.
Before our trip to Paris, my husband spent a lot of time looking for a hotel, and he found the Citadines Apart Hotel Opera. It was a really good choice. This was our first stay at this hotel and it was very pleasant and enjoyable.
Later, we have booked rooms at Citadines Apart Hotel several times in different countries and we were very pleased with our stay.

Citadines Apart Hotel Opera Paris: Location
Garnier Opera House
Paris has several Citadines Apart'Hotel, and we chose to stay in Citadines Apart'Hotel Opera, which located in the 9th arrondissement (area) of Paris.
Galeries Lafayette
View from the rooftop terrace
9th arr. is a very elegant area with gorgeous architecture, museums, 1875 Garnier Opera House, the large department stores Galeries Lafayette where you can go not only for shopping, but to the rooftop terrace, which is free to enter and where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the beauty of Paris. I highly recommend to do this.
The hotel located in the center of the city at 18 Rue Favart and just a 7 minute walk to the Garnier Opera, 17 minutes to the Louvre Museum and only 8 minutes to the department stores Galeries Lafayette.
The location was just perfect, a safe neighborhood and walkable distance to major attractions.
Citadines Apart Hotel Opera Paris: Accommodation
After a full day of exploring the city, staying in a good hotel is very important to me.
Citadines Apart Hotel Opera has stylish furnished studios and apartments with small kitchens. The kitchen has modern appliances with dishes and all the necessary equipments. Personally, I don't cook during the vacation, but it might be really helpful, because if you buy at local store cheese, croissant, some fruits, etc. you can easily prepare breakfast or have a late evening's cup of tea with snacks then you can save your time and money.
Most of the hotels in Paris have little rooms that there doesn't even enough space to open your luggage. Citadines Apart Hotel Opera has a decent size of room It is 20-30 sqm for the studio, which is enough for 2 people and bigger size apartments for families.
Pets are allowed for an extra charge, but for more information, contact the hotel directly, because restrictions might apply.
Our room had everything that was important for us: a comfortable bed, air conditioner, luggage storage, blackout drapes, safe, iron, etc.
Also, right in front of the hotel you will find Vélib' Métropole Bike Rentals. You can rent a bike right there and explore the city on the bicycle. We did it and it was real fun.
How to get to the hotel:
Citadines Apart Hotel Opera is perfectly located in the heart of Paris and if you arrive to Paris by train, then you can reach the hotel by taking the metro.
From the Gare de Lyon train station: lines 1 and 8 to the Richelieu-Drouot metro station.
