The King Power Mahanakhon Skywalk


If you want to get an impressive view from Bangkok's Skyline, you can do this on one of the many Skyscrapers, The King Power Mahanakhon is one of the highest buildings in Bangkok with a phantastic view.

How to get to the Mahanakhon?


Its very very easy to get to the Mahanakhon Skyscraper. The builduing is just a few minutes away from BTS Station Chong Nonsi (Silom Line).

About the Mahanakhon


At the moment The King Power Mahanakhon is the second highes building in Bangkok, 314 meters high. The building was recognised as the tallest building in Thailand (2016 – 2018), until the Magnolias Waterfront Residences at ICONSIAM broke the record in 2018 with the height of 317 meters. King Power Mahanakhon symbols a very special architectural landmark. It was designed by an award-winning architect with the goal to representing Bangkok with its contrasting mix of traditional temples and modern skyscrapers.

The skyscraper reminds to a dice stacked on top of each other, to expose an inner layer, creating balconies with views of the city. The most amazing part of this skyscraper is the King Power Mahanakhon SkyWalk. In 314 meters you can enjoy one of the most exciting attraction in Bangkok. The top floor gives you a stunning view to the skyline of Bangkok and the glassed bottom skywalk will gives you some special impression you never will forget again :-)

When you arrive at the BTS Station Ching Nonsi by night, you probably will look around to see the building not at once, in the night the Mahanakhon building seems very dark :-) Maybe its easier to recognize the building by daylight, but for sure, its not very difficult to find the The King Power Mahanakhon. Standing in front of it will give you the first amazing moment.

The Mahanakhon Skyscraper Lobby


The main attraction of this skycraper is its glass skywalk on top of the building, if you want to visit of the Skywalk is not for free. Adults paying more than children or seniors. Usually the ticket price is about 850 THB for people with age from 13-59 --- children 3-12 pay 250 THB, younger children can visit the skywalk for free --- senior adults 60+ pay 250 THB. These days (April 2021) the price is splittet: Monday till Friday: 530 Baht and Saturday & Sunday 880 Baht - visiting times are 10:00am till 11:00pm.

Take the elevator and get the first imrepssions at Floor 74th


Going up to the Skyview, the first way is to the elevator. Even this is an experience you will not forget! The elevator is combined with some movies, which are projected to the walls of the elevator! You will go up to premium indoor observation hall located on Level 74 and get the first impression of the Skyline of Bangkok!

Going to the top!


Now its going to the top! You take a second elevator, which is served by an employee. The ride is nice, but does not take very much time. The only thing to do now is to open the door the sky :-) You will be welcome, if you are lucky, by some live music, you can buy a drink, you can take a seat to view the skyline, and relax the night atmosphere.

Skyline of Bangkok & Skywalk


When you are at the top of the skyscraper, you will be fascinated by the skyline of Bangkok, thats for sure! The skyline of Bangkok is amazing, so many skyscrapers, gives you the impression of a modern and big metropolis. Even when the view of Bangkok's Skyline at day is a wonderful expierence, I feel the view by night is breathtaking !

The main attraction of this building is the glassed bottom skywalk! Will you dare it? :-) Walking on the glass skywalk has some restrictions! Its not allowed to use your phone on the glass platform and the bag you are carrying, you need to put in an extra bag. Last but not least, you must wear some overshoes, to protect the glass on the platform. If you want some photos from yourself on the platform, dont hesitate and ask the staff, they will help you to take a picture from you.
