Hello and Namaste!
Wishing all "A Very Happy New Year 2021"
It's been awhile since I wrote or posted anything on Triptipedia, the reason being that although Christmas and New Year were relatively quiet affairs in comparison to the previous years, it was the preparation for my 14 year old son's birthday on the 3rd of January which had me quite occupied.
Amazing to see the appetite of the kids!
His demand since the beginning of December 2020 had been for Butter Chicken with Tawa Rotis and Rice. And so it was, 5 kilograms (approximately 11 and quarter pounds) of fresh chicken. Then of course there were the usual ingredients Onion, Garlic, Ginger, Green Chillies, Green Coriander, Curd, Milk, Cream, Butter, Cashew Nuts and Almonds.
Yes, it is a rich curry with marinated and skewered pieces of chicken. All in all, the dinner was a success and I was satisfied as a parent that I did my best and my son was proud that his father can make Butter Chicken too! Proud moment for the both of us.

So, 2021 has brought some mixed news as we all expected. Good News that vaccines are rolling out, so there will be some amount of travel that will take place and the fact that a new strain of the virus is making people sick is worrying, but if we stick to the basic hygienic habits ( washing hands, wearing a mask, using a tissue while sneezing or coughing ) and
physical distancing, we should have this under control soon enough.
About a Billion jobs in the hospitality industry worldwide have been lost to the Pandemic. In 2021, we should start making our bucket list. Places we would like to see and visit. Allow me to give you some choices.
India is host to some of most magnificent and amazing tourist destinations in the world, but it is also home to a lot of wildlife sanctuaries, some in truly amazing and picturesque places.
Imagine that you travel to Himachal Pradesh and you not only get to see mighty Himalayas and the beauty and awe that surrounds them but also some fantastic wildlife too! Amazing! Well, the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary is one such place. It is home to the beautiful Snow Leopard, the Ibex, the Blue Sheep and birds like the Snow Cock and the Bearded Eagle Griffons.

Kibber like most of the surrounding areas and specially the Spiti Valley follows Buddhism. It is home to several monasteries. It is of even more significance since the teacher of the current Dalai Lama lived his last years in Kibber. At an altitude of 4720 metres, Kibber is known to have the highest motorable road in the world. Not just its wildlife beauty but Kibber also attracts visitors for trekking and mountaineering. The weather in Kibber though cold but still is mostly pleasant. So if India is on your Bucket List, then Kibber should be a destination that you must visit.
Kibber is once in a lifetime must visit destination.
Next we will look at one the fastest growing tourism module in the world with its home base in India, but thats next time.
Till then stay safe.
Thank you - Dhanyavaad.
