Edinburgh Castle from Princess Street Gardens
I've been to Edinburgh once before with friends and always wanted to go back. So 5 years later I booked a two night solo trip for Halloween and I was very excited. I arrived in Edinburgh at 4pm and had a walk down Princess Street where there are lovely views of the castle before I went to The Ghost Bus Tour and it was one of my favourite tours I've ever done. The actor who did the tour was amazing and kept us all engaged with eerie but true stories of Edinburgh.
The next day I went for breakfast and then went to Edinburgh Dungeons. The Dungeons were great but also a chilling way to learn about Edinburgh dark history. I would 100% recommend a visit if you are in Edinburgh! After the Dungeons I went across the road to Jake's Cafe for a delicious hot chocolate and even better carrot cake plus the staff were cheerful and polite. I then went for a walk to Scott Monument and then around Princess Street Gardens which has magnificent views of Edinburgh Castle and lots of monuments. I could have easily spent longer in these gardens.
I went and had a quick change and went for food at Wagamama's and a cocktail at The Alchemist. Then my last stop was to Edinburgh Playhouse to watch The Book of Mormon at Edinburgh Playhouse. The next day we got an early train home. I love my stay in Edinburgh and I would recommend a visit to anyone. I would love to do another visit to Edinburgh and I hope I can come back soon!
