Caribbean > Aruba

Aruba is a small island and a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the southern Caribbean Sea, located 29 kilometers north of the coast of Venezuela. Therefore, please check whether you need a Dutch Caribbean visa to visit Aruba. This type of visa will allow you to visit also Curacao and Bonaire islands.

The easiest way to get to Aruba from Europe is direct flight from Amsterdam operated by KLM. By the way, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines was founded in 1919 and is the oldest airline in the world. In 1920 it made its first scheduled flight from Amsterdam to London. KLM literally “Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij” and the translation is “Royal Aviation Company”. But let’s get back to Aruba.

Aruba is a favorite place to spend holidays for tourists from the United States of America. American tourists adore sea cruises and Aruba is one of the main stops in numerous Caribbean cruises starting from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. But Aruba is the favorite place not only for Americans (75%), but for the tourists from all over the World. Let’s see why Aruba is so popular and attracts more than 1.5 million tourists per year.

A lot of tourists visit Aruba thanks to the crystal and turquoise waters of Caribbean sea with the beautiful nature and, of course, the excellent service there. You will see here the numerous colorful fishes, huge pelicans and big iguanas and, of course, gorgeous flamingos. You will not only see them in their native habitat area, but also have possibility personally to feed them. But if you can feed iguanas anyway on the island, in order to feed flamingos you have to visit private Renaissance Island, which belongs to Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino. These gorgeous birds live in harmony with tourists. To get to the island, you have to book accommodation and to use hotel key to enter into boat which will deliver you to the dream island.

The Hotel proposes two different types of accommodation: Renaissance Marina Hotel for adults only and Renaissance Ocean Suites for families.

The Island has two different beaches: Flamingo beach for adults only and Iguana beach for families. But your children are allowed to feed flamingos from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. The food can be bought directly on the beach, don’t forget to take quarter dollars coins with you. Just like Flamingo Beach, Iguana Beach can only be reached when you visit Renaissance Island. Renaissance Island is the exclusive property of the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino. Guests of the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino have free access by boat taxi to the island that is open between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on a daily basis. When you are a non-visitor of the resort and you would like to visit Renaissance Island to enjoy your day, buying a day pass is possible.

Unforgettable Aruba is one of the journeys that you will never forget.
