Be hydrated whenever planning a trip to high altitudes in the Himalayas. Leh Ladakh base is located at 11400 ft from the sea level. Drinking 2-3 litre bottles of water is advisable. If you are taking a direct fly to Leh then take a rest for a day without sleeping in the day time to give space to your body to get acclimatized and you may continue your trip without any hassle.
