Who does not like to visit mysterious places and make a wish there?

On our last trip to Alentejo, we met a lot of fans of esotericism: someone read prayers, someone brought crystals and "magical" items, someone just clung to the stones and asked for the dreams come true. Some people sing and dance. And another ones just watch the others with interest.

Visiting Evora, it is necessary to see an interesting places around Evora. The lands of Alentejo are rich in historical monuments, medieval castles and prehistoric buildings. If you believe in mysticism, make a wish. If you are a pragmatist, just think, why did prehistoric people carry such huge stones for their rituals?

It is difficult/almost impossible to get there by public transport, so you need to rent a car or look for guides in local groups. Visiting Evora with a guide, ask him to pass by one of these places. It's worth seeing!

Put points on the map and discover the unknown and mystical Portugal!

Hiking in Douro Valley

This walk begins in Pinhão train station and allows us to go at the hilltop of Casal de Loivos, a small village close to Pinhão. It’s a short walk but it shows perfectly the magnificent Douro valley: villages, valleys, vineyards and olive trees.
